Restoration Apparel Company in Kansas City has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Controller. This position can definitely grow into a CFO role in the future as the company further develops. The Corporate Controller will be located at the company’s HQ downtown. This role will be involved in both corporate and project accounting and will report to our President. We are a relatively small but rapidly growing sports apparel company with manufacturing plants in KC, DR and Egypt, and we have a substantial team - including accounting - located in the Philippines. We have 450 full time staff members worldwide, and about 50 staff members in KC.

We make approximately 200,000 sports uniforms per month currently - utilizing a high-tech process called dye-sublimation. It’s a very energetic and dynamic company in a rapidly growing industry.

This person will be responsible for:
All of the month-end, quarterly and year-end closing.Consolidating our 3 business unit financial statements.
Reconciling accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
Reviewing transaction coding and financial statements for accuracy, legal compliance and alignment to budgeted expense coding.
Cash and multi-year financial planning..
Internal AR and AP planning and oversight with major business units under Quickbooks.
Oversee accounting for Restoration Apparel and our two major plants in DR and Egypt. Leading our team of 5 accountants in the Philippines.
Collaborate with leadership to assess and make important financial decisions
Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of the business
Maintain up to date knowledge on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areas
Prepare the company financials according to US GAAP standards to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state of the company in good standing
Ensure the company complies with financial regulations
Overseeing HR and Payroll.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited college or university in a work-related discipline or field. A Master s Degree (M.A.) in Accounting is a plus
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is ideal.
A minimum of six years professional experience in Accounting
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations, and working knowledge of international finance
Proficiency with Quickbooks is a big plus
Industry experience in Manufacturing business is preferred
Demonstrated people skills and ability to cultivate and maintain relationships at all levels
Internal Audit experience preferred
