Restoration Family Services, Inc. in Wichita, KS is looking for one clinical therapist to join our 16 person strong team. We are located on 3450 N Rock Rd Suite 405. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.
The Licensed Therapist will help fulfill the mission of Restoration Family Services, Inc. (RFS) by providing treatment for clients with emotional, behavioral, and mental disorders. The therapist may collaborate with psychologists and psychiatrists, referring patients to these specialists as necessary. Counseling sessions may be conducted individually, in groups, or with family members involved.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
As a member of RFS’s Therapy Services Program, and under the supervision of the Associate Executive Director or Therapy Services Supervisor, the licensed mental health provider is responsible for counseling outpatient clients (within your assigned caseload). This position is the primary interface for access services such as peer/family counseling and support, screening, assessment, brief treatment, consultative services, education and engagement, linkages, outreach, and advocacy.
Other Duties may be assigned according to the qualifications of staff and the development of programs:
- Ensure assigned productivity standards are met.
- Interview clients to assess their emotional, social, and educational needs. Complete and record intake assessments, social histories, mental status exams, suicide risk assessments, and other related information in accordance with agency policies.
- Provide accurate diagnoses and develop treatment plans with clients to help them achieve their goals. Treatment plan updates are required every 90 days or in response to significant client events.
- Make appropriate referrals to other agencies or services as needed.
- Conduct individual, couple, family, or group therapy sessions, utilizing a strengths-based approach to address client issues and concerns. Collaborate with outside providers to document client progress when applicable.
- Promote program services and maintain professional relationships with other area providers and agencies. Represent the program in discussions or seminars on psychoeducational topics for interested groups.
- Participate in clinical supervision, peer reviews, and case record reviews as per agency policies to ensure quality care for clients and compliance with case record requirements.
- Work effectively with the Program Director to actively seek out promotional opportunities that highlight staff clinical expertise.
- Demonstrate an understanding of, and support for, the organization’s mission, acting as a representative of the non-profit in this role.

Education, Certifications, and Qualifications:
Clinical master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, or Licensed Professional Counselor.
A Kansas State clinical license (a license to practice independently), as required by a professional regulatory board or professional association, is strongly preferred. The license must be LSCSW, LCMFT, LCPC, LPC, LMFT, or LMSW.
Two years of post-graduate clinical experience and proficient use of the current DSM edition (may be waived).
Ability to use a computer via mouse and keyboard with familiarity with Windows and Microsoft products. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory. A registered Play Therapist (RPT) is preferred. Employees must be willing to become proficient in the use of Electronic Health Records. Will participate in ongoing training and licensure renewal to maintain position
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a dependable automobile with valid driver’s license and current insurance coverage (state minimum)
- Must be familiar with the target population's needs and/or experience working with the foster care system and/or crisis intervention services.
- Completes and provides evidence of Licensure Renewals annually and copies of Continuing Education Credits.
- Must be able to secure and Maintain Provider Participation in all KMAP Insurance Plans.
- Completes all Mandatory In-house Training (HIPPA, OSHA, Fire Safety) annually and any other mandated by the employer
- Able to lift 20 pounds and to perform basic office tasks (with or without assistance).
- Prolong standing, sitting and walking
- Driving (may be required to transport clients and materials or perform routine errands as a part of routine work assignments).
- Must pass a drug screen, KBI, and Child Abuse, Neglect
- Registry Clearance check and all other applicable background checks and health assessments.
- FBI fingerprint check if relocated to KS in the last 5 years
- Must have a valid KS driver’s license, acceptable driving record, car insurance and reliable transportation
