What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Manager position at Restoration Relief?
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning and delivering projects that meet Restoration Relief requirements for schedule, budget, and quality. The PM will be assigned to lead a project team consisting of a Project Coordinator (PC), Estimator, and others as required by the project. On a project by project basis, this position will be responsible to drive the project to successful completion. The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining a clear understanding of the funding status for the project.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
For projects assigned, the PM will lead a project team consisting of:
- Project Coordinator (PC)
- Estimator
- Mitigation/ Reconstruction/ Cleaning Technicians
- Tradespersons
- Suppliers
For projects assigned, the PM will coordinate with:
- Any public authority having jurisdiction of the project
- Client
- Adjuster
- The Restoration Relief Business Developer (BD) associated with the project
- Restoration Relief operation management for allocation of Restoration Relief resources
- Internal Reconstruction labor
- All Cleaning labor
- All Content labor and resources
As a leader of the project team, the project manager will be personally responsible and authorized to make decisions regarding the following items, within the parameters established by applicable Restoration Relief policies and procedures:
- Construction means and method
- Project schedule sequence. Start dates for Restoration Relief Resources to be coordinated with RR Operations Team.
- Project budget
- Will be the primary contact to the client and the adjustor. This does not mean the only contact, but, as far as decisions are concerned, will be the primary contact.
- Project safety
- Project quality and client satisfaction
- Completeness of the digital project record. Assure that important conversations and progress are documented in the digital project record
Secondary to project execution, the Project Manager will also be called upon to perform functions associated with Business Development, coordinating with the Dir. BD and as authorized by his / her supervisor:
- Developing relationships with potential clients and referral sources
- Maintaining and furthering development of relationships with clients and referral sources
- Attending company sponsored networking events
- Entertaining (lunches, golf outings with referral sources)
Additional responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the On-Call rotation
- Deploying with field crews during emergency response as required
- Attending Training seminars
- Attending weekly production meetings and staff meetings
- Additional tasks as directed by Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Good attitude and work ethic
- Ability to work under high levels of activity
- Three years experience working in the Disaster Restoration field
- Solid understanding of construction means and methods
- Proficiency with project financials, budgeting and scheduling on multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Good driving record
