What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduling Coordinator position at Restorative Health Care?
Responsibilities:
· Run open schedules report to track patient’s coverage.
· Run billed and unbilled reports to ensure patient weekly hours are in line with Auth.
· Contact unscheduled nurses/therapists for coverage on open schedules for the upcoming week/ month.
· Communicate with nurses/therapists/ patient's parents and answer their questions.
· Email/Call PDN/Therapy parents whose schedules have changed within the week.
· Check upcoming recertification visits for therapy through Schedule master report or Billed and unbilled report.
· Run Unscheduled clients report to ensure therapy schedule with active authorizations.
· Coordinate patient schedule- contact nurses for upcoming availability before the beginning of the upcoming month.
· Check the eligibility of designated therapy patients and PDN patients on the first of the month.
· Informing a patient’s parents of the insurance inactivity and visits cancellation after eligibility verification.
· Update RHC nursing needs report for open schedules available for PRNs.
· Develop contingency plans for unexpected staffing shortages or emergencies.
· Inform parents, find replacement, and contact Case managers regarding last minute cancellations.
· Follow up on orders that are close to 60 days.
· Address scheduling conflicts and resolve issues.
Process new admissions:
· Receive referrals;
· Communicate with the patient’s physician office regarding additional documentation and with the patient;
· Verify eligibility and benefits;
· Create a patient’s account in the scheduling and billing system;
· Communicate with the nurse/therapist about the admission and scheduling;
Salary : $22 - $25
