What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detox/Residential Technician position at Restore Detox Centers LLC?
POSITION SUMMARY: SWING SHIFT 3:00 pm-11:30 pm
Detox/Residential Technicians are responsible for the shift-by-shift supervision of the client milieu and attending to client's essential needs while on detoxification and residential protocols. Detox/Residential Technicians are the core of our company with unparalleled access to clients requiring the greatest representation of our professionalism, values, and culture.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct admissions of clients including orientation, intake assessment, urine screen, medication management, protocols and recurring assessments, secure search/storage of personal property.
- Hourly adherence to JCAHO and state client care standards.
- Communicating with physician, entering physician orders, and following physician orders in overseeing client
- Medication management.
- Proficient documentation in KIPU Systems or similar client management software.
- Documenting client daily progress.
- Facility walk-throughs and maintaining control of care environment establishing a consistent presence and awareness of client behavior.
- Enforcing policies and procedures
- Maintaining cleanliness of facility and food preparation as needed.
- Facilitating groups, program activities, and maintaining client schedules.
- Delegation of necessary tasks to support staff and fulfilling support staff duties as needed.
- Recurring assessment, interaction, observation, and documentation of clients.
- Communicating thoroughly and accurately verbally and via shift notes to ensure continuity of high quality of care.
- Crisis Intervention.
- Conducting client discharge, returning client personal items, logging and following destruction of medication and/or facility, procedures, coordinating client transportation and continuity of care with next level of care environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Competencies:
- Ability to multi-task, delegate tasks, manage client care, maintain facility standards.
- Desire to assist those with chemical dependency in their recovery.
Education:
- Minimum High School Graduate or GED.
- 2 years college preferred with emphasis in Human Services or 2 years actively working in the same position in the field of recovery.
- Drug and Alcohol Counseling Certification Desired
Salary : $18 - $20
