Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in driving sales and promoting our products while maintaining the store's appearance.
Duties
- Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance with their shopping needs.
- Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Process sales using the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product information to effectively upsell and cross-sell items.
- Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints professionally.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Experience with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales analysis.
- Ability to supervise junior staff or new hires when necessary.
- Proven ability in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities.
- Familiarity with retail sales principles and practices is preferred.
- Experience using POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
