Case Worker

Join our dedicated team at Restore TFC as a Foster Care Caseworker. This role is ideal for someone passionate about child welfare and looking to make a difference in the lives of children and foster families. You will work closely with foster parents, children, and other stakeholders, ensuring the highest level of care and support is provided.biological families.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular assessments and home visits to licensed foster families to ensure compliance with certification requirements and safety standards.
• Provide support and guidance to foster families in meeting the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of children in their care.
• Collaborate with biological families, foster families, and other professionals involved to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Monitor and document the progress and well-being of children in foster care, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
• Advocate for the best interests of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, documentation, and reports in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
• Provide crisis intervention and support services to foster families as needed.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and case conferences to collaborate and coordinate services for children and families.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience working in the foster care system or with children and families in a similar capacity.
• Experience working with children whom have experienced trauma.
• Knowledge of child welfare laws, regulations, and best practices in foster care.
• Strong understanding of the complex needs and dynamics of both foster and biological families.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build relationships with diverse individuals and families.
• Ability to assess and manage crisis situations effectively and provide appropriate support.
• Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to participate in on-call responsibilities.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with case management software. Extended Reach is preferred.
