Join our dedicated team at Restore TFC as a Foster Care Caseworker. You will work closely with foster parents, children, and other stakeholders, ensuring the highest level of care and support is provided.biological families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular assessments and home visits to licensed foster families to ensure compliance with certification requirements and safety standards.
- Provide support and guidance to foster families in meeting the physical, emotional, and developmental needs of children in their care.
- Collaborate with biological families, foster families, and other professionals involved to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Monitor and document the progress and well-being of children in foster care, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Advocate for the best interests of children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, documentation, and reports in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
- Provide crisis intervention and support services to foster families as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and case conferences to collaborate and coordinate services for children and families.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working in the foster care system or with children and families in a similar capacity.
- Experience working with children whom have experienced trauma.
- Knowledge of child welfare laws, regulations, and best practices in foster care.
- Strong understanding of the complex needs and dynamics of both foster and biological families.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and build relationships with diverse individuals and families.
- Ability to assess and manage crisis situations effectively and provide appropriate support.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including the ability to participate in on-call responsibilities.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with case management software. Extended Reach is preferred.
