Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Understand the scope of work for each job site and execute tasks efficiently.
- Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, skid loaders, mini excavators, and other machinery, to complete land restoration and utility projects.
- Transport equipment to and from job sites using a six-wheel dump truck and a 20’ equipment trailer.
- Follow and complete daily work schedules using a tablet, ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and on time.
- Conduct precise site measurements and verify job completion to project specifications.
- Document job progress with before-and-after photos for reporting and record-keeping.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, adjusting practices based on job site conditions to ensure a safe work environment.
- Provide guidance and training to team members as needed to maintain high performance and safety standards.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients, contractors, and the public.
- Maintain, inspect, and perform routine servicing of equipment to ensure machinery remains in optimal working condition.
- Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing for extended periods, climbing, kneeling, and reaching.
- Adapt to seasonal work variations, including potential winter responsibilities based on workload.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by leadership to support company operations.
Education, Skills & Experience needed:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 Years in the landscaping/ construction industry (required)
- Prior experience in management position
- Knowledge and skill in using technology, laptops, tablets, etc.
- Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Must have excellent communication skills
Requirements:
- Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- Provide valid US work authorization documents
- Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- CDL Class A Driver’s License (Preferred but not required)
- Pre-employment physical and hold/obtain DOT medical card
- Must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in written form
- Motivated and self-disciplined
Typical Schedule:
M-F (Saturdays during busy months Spring/ Fall)
50 Hours Plus during busy season
6:30 AM – 5PM may vary depending on work load
