Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant.
• Manage the reservation system, ensuring accurate bookings and updates.
• Assign guests to their tables based on availability and guest preferences.
• Answer phone calls, provide information, and take reservations.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
• Assist with waiting lists and communicate estimated wait times to guests.
• Support the service staff by ensuring smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen operations.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even in busy or stressful situations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both in English and Japanese.

Job Title: Restaurant Reception Supervisor
Pay Rate: Starting at $23 per hour

Position Overview:
As the Restaurant Reception Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the front-of-house, ensuring efficient guest flow and high-quality service. You will supervise the reception team, manage reservations, and ensure a seamless guest experience from the moment they arrive. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional customer service skills, and proficiency in both English and Japanese.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead the reception team, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Ensure efficient and professional handling of guest reservations, walk-ins, and waiting lists.
• Monitor the flow of guests and coordinate seating arrangements to minimize wait times and enhance guest satisfaction.
• Address and resolve any guest concerns or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
• Work closely with management and other departments to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
• Assist in managing the reception area and ensuring cleanliness and organization.
• Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining records, updating reservation systems, and preparing shift schedules for the reception team.
• Uphold the restaurant's standards of customer service, ensuring a positive guest experience at all times.
• Act as a role model for exceptional customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in both English and Japanese (spoken and written).
• Proven experience in a reception or customer service role, with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and address guest concerns with patience and diplomacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional hospitality-related training or certifications a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour
