What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Captain - Offsite position at Resurgence Brewing Company?

Our goal is to deliver memorable beer and cider moments to the drinkers of the Greater Buffalo region, whether they're at home, in their favorite bar, or on a tour of our extraordinary brewery.
What you'll be doing:
Resurgence brews and Blackbird cider are tasty anywhere and you'll be there, too! The Event Captain acts as the lead, or point person, on each event and reports to the Offsite Events Manager. Provide opertational oversight at events we hold off-site such as markets, festivals, Pints in the Park and Kelkenberg Farm. You'll oversee the staff and logistics of the event and act as the point of contact for staff, management and day of event contact(s). The Event Captain will escalate matters of urgency to Management, ensure all tasks are being completed as assigned, and ensure an exceptional experience for the clients and patrons.
You'll support your co-workers and our patrons to provide and maintain the FU Awesome atmosphere beyond the taproom walls - clean, friendly, and fun. Ideal candidates will support our company culture and vision, possess leadership attributes, be able and willing to step in when needed, possess a "can-do" personality, be self-motivated, have a customer-focused attitude, be flexible, and be willing to learn.
Basics: Coordiante and be responsbile for set-up and tear down, closing out drawers and properly handling money, answer questions from clients, patrons, and staff, address any matters during the event, provide post-event debriefs to Management and support event staff by taking orders, pouring beer, serving cans, and engaging with patrons.
It is imperative that you maintain and enforce policies and procedures, a clean and welcoming space, prepare for the event in advance, ensure you have necessary equipment/supplies/product, etc. We want someone with the strong desire to promote our brands and provide unparalleled service - the ultimate guest experience!
This is a part-time position requiring evening and weekend availability.

- Must be of state legal age to serve alcohol in your respective state
- Ability to be standing/on your feet for long periods of time including outdoors
- Authorized to work in the US
- Reliable transporation to get to and from various off-site locations
- Current, valid driver license to occasionally transport items to the sites
