Responsibilities

  • Provide remedial, accelerated, and differentiated instruction in 1-1, push-in, small group, and collaborative model in alignment with Resurgence Hall Instructional Frameworks and as required by all programming inclusive of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), Early Intervention Program (EIP), Remedial Education Program (REP), 504 plans, Talented and Gifted (TAG), and English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL);
  • Use scholar data and IEPs to internalize and execute lesson plans with fidelity and create reteach plans as needed;
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation on scholar participation and progress through progress reports, report cards, and assessment files for special education services, 504 plans, ESOL services, RTI processes, EIP, REP, and TAG programming in all platforms such as PowerSchool, Illuminate, and GO-IEP;
  • Create a culture of joy and urgency with high expectations for all scholars through the implementation of school-wide culture systems including fidelity to the behavior management cycle, incentives, logical consequences, and logging into DeansList;
  • Continuously develop instructional expertise by deeply engaging in weekly professional development and 1-1 coaching;
  • Administer all state and district-mandated assessments (WIDA Screener, WIDA ACCESS, GKIDS 2.0, Georgia Milestones, and Dyslexia Screener, etc.);
  • Administer formative and summative assessments as required (Quizzes, Interim Assessments, STEP, NWEA MAP, etc.);
  • Participate in and support all required special education processes and case management, including Child Find and Maintenance of Effort, and protocols to ensure that scholars receive services that are in full compliance and are effective per local, state, and federal law and school board policies;
  • Support end-to-end processes and case management for special education services, 504 plans, ESOL services, RTI processes, EIP, REP, and TAG programming to ensure that scholars receive services to support academic success;
  • Provide coverage support when required to ensure scholar learning and safety continue uninterrupted;
  • Communicate daily with all families regarding scholar academic and social/emotional progress through school-based applications (apps), phone, and email;
  • Build deep relationships with scholars, families, and staff to foster a culture of joy and community;
  • Lead and support schoolwide and grade/content level initiatives such as Parent University Nights, Spread the Love Week, Black History Month, 100 Day of School, and Awards Ceremony;
  • Support school-wide initiatives such as weekend recruitment events, evening parent workshops, and other events with advanced notice outside of regular work week and hours;
  • Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Specialist or Manager of Scholar Supports.

Qualifications/Certification- All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree is a plus.

Prior Experience- Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience. All candidates must have a track record of consistently improving academic outcomes throughout the year. Strong project and time management skills; juggle multiple priorities with great attention to detail, and deliver consistent and timely results. Sense of humility, urgency, and strong ability to proactively solve problems. Demonstrates organizational, computer (Google Suite - Word, PPT, Excel), project management, data management and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation - Resurgence Hall offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package. Aside from extensive professional development, our team members are equipped with a laptop computer, iPad, email, and all necessary supplies to succeed in the role. Please note this is a year-round position.
