What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Fellow, 2024-2025 (Immediate Opening) position at Resurgence Hall?
At Resurgence Hall, we are on a mission.
We are a team of passionate, gritty, determined believers who stop at nothing to ensure that every scholar is prepared to succeed in high school, college, and life. As the #1 state charter school in Metro Atlanta and in the top 5% of all public schools in the state, we invite you to join our winning team.
Resurgence Hall Teacher Fellowship Program
At Resurgence Hall, we believe that leadership in the classroom requires intensive classroom practice, 1-on-1 coaching, and exposure to the variety of roles our classroom leaders take on each day. We are incredibly excited to open our teacher fellowship program to aspiring educators and/or career changers.
The Fellowship
- INTENSIVE CLASSROOM PRACTICE: Our fellowship program places you in the classroom on day one with instructional team members. Fellows observe instruction and immediately apply their learning, focusing on practicing core skills such as creating a joyful, structured classroom culture. Our fellows also provide coverage support when required to ensure scholar learning and safety continue uninterrupted while providing ample opportunities to practice, reflect, and improve their instructional skills in a supportive, structured environment
- 1-ON-1 COACHING: Our senior instructional staff has over two decades of experience teaching and leading top charter schools in the country prior to joining Resurgence Hall and leading our scholars to high academic gains in a warm, joyful environment. Expert coaches provide constructive feedback to help you grow quickly by tailoring coaching to your professional development plan. Their actionable guidance and concrete strategies will improve your practice daily.
- BEHIND THE SCENES: Instructors do much more than teach. They spend time compiling and analyzing scholar data, building parent partnerships, and taking on school-based support roles in RTI, Title I programs, operational support, and more. We believe exposure and support of these “many hats” early on will allow instructional leaders to expand their impact beyond the classroom to the entire school community.
- Perform other duties, as deemed appropriate, by the Manager of Culture and Instruction.
Qualifications/Certification. All candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or are on track to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2026 or earlier.
Prior Experience. Demonstrated commitment to work with under-resourced communities and/or children in a school or similar setting highly preferred. Sense of humility, urgency, and interest in growing. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation - Resurgence Hall Teacher Fellowship is a full-time role with a comprehensive benefits package.
