What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Director - (3 years experience preferred) position at Resurrection Fellowship?
Academy Director Job Opportunity
Blue Sky Children’s Academy – Where the Sky’s the Limit (and so is the snack budget... almost)
Are you an experienced leader who can juggle licensing requirements, team meetings, enrollment goals, and a toddler’s impromptu glitter explosion—all while staying calm, centered, and caffeinated? Good. Because Blue Sky Children’s Academy is looking for a rare unicorn to serve as our next Academy Director.
We're not your typical childcare center—we're a faith-rooted, wellness-first academy where joy is part of the curriculum and well-being is part of the job description (yes, even for grown-ups).
Why You’ll Love Working Here
At Blue Sky, we believe in raising whole children with whole hearts—and that requires a team that’s whole, too. That’s why we’re flipping the script on traditional childcare culture by making staff wellness just as much of a priority as early learning outcomes.
Here, self-care isn't a checkbox—it’s baked into the way we lead. From leadership that actually encourages taking breaks, to meaningful check-ins, to a staff lounge stocked with more than just burnt coffee and leftover fruit snacks—we’re building a space where people thrive.
Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)
As our Academy Director, you’ll lead our brand-new, sunshine-soaked, faith-forward campus with heart, humor, and hustle. You’ll guide a team of passionate educators, nurture strong connections with families, and ensure we’re operating like a well-oiled (yet joyfully messy) machine.
What You’ll Be Up To
- Champion Culture & Wellness: Foster a supportive, Christ-centered, wellness-first culture that brings out the best in every child and teacher—because stressed-out staff don’t make thriving classrooms.
- Inspire & Lead: Manage daily operations, mentor your team, and drive the vision forward like the boss you are.
- Make It All Work: Keep an eye on enrollment, compliance, tuition billing, and yes, that mysterious stack of licensing paperwork that seems to multiply overnight.
- Connect the Dots: Build strong bridges between Blue Sky, Rez.Church, our families, and the greater community.
- Recruit Rockstars: Hire, onboard, and grow an amazing teaching team that loves kids, faith, and spontaneous dance parties.
- Family First: Create a warm, inviting environment where parents feel seen, heard, and valued.
- Market Like a Pro: Share our story through social media, tours, and outreach. Bonus points if you know how to take a cute pic of kids and keep all ten of them in frame.
What You Bring to the Table
- Must meet Director qualifications (and preferably hold a Level III Early Childhood Professional Credential).
- Proven leadership skills—you're the one people turn to when things go sideways (and you handle it with grace and snacks).
- A passion for early childhood development, hands-on learning, and wellness-based practices.
- Experience with budgets, enrollment, and managing the ever-complicated childcare puzzle.
- A heart for Jesus and a love for leading others in faith-centered spaces.
- Communication skills that build trust with staff, parents, and the occasional toddler philosopher.
- Tech-savvy enough to navigate childcare software (and maybe even help Grandma log into Procare).
What We Offer
- A front-row seat to the most meaningful work on earth—raising the next generation with faith, purpose, and play.
- A tight-knit, grace-filled community where your ideas matter and your well-being is part of the mission.
- Professional growth opportunities (because leaders need nurturing too).
- A chance to laugh daily, lead boldly, and truly make a difference.
Relocation? Yes—we’ll move mountains (and maybe even your family) for the right leader.
