POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Account Manager will focus on growing and enhancing RDS's business and product portfolio within the small to medium-sized business (SMB) segments. This role involves promoting and implementing RDS's POS Solutions, Services, Payments and Hardware specifically for the hospitality/grocery industry through direct engagement with customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Seek out and target sales opportunities within assigned territory.
- Responsible for researching, updating, and maintaining customer data within RDS’s CRM solution
- Responsible for driving sales growth and forecasts
- Identifies decision-makers and builds strong executive relationships to promote sales
- Proactively identify changes in the business environment and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Understand competitive products to position products based on the customer’s need and value-add
- Continuously expand knowledge of the restaurant/grocery industry, market trends, emerging technology and competitors to position our solutions and effectively provide consultative advice to prospects.
- Promote and sell unified commerce solutions
- Successfully conduct product demonstrations with prospects
- Conduct research to identify potential restaurant/grocery clients and generate leads through various channels, including online sources, industry events, and cold calling. You will manage the entire sales process, from prospecting to closing deals and maintaining solid relationships with our clients.
- Engage in outbound activities, including email campaigns, cold calls, and social media outreach, to introduce RDS’s restaurant/grocery software solutions, focusing mainly on POS and Payment Solutions.
- Use discovery calls with potential clients to understand their needs, pain points, and requirements and effectively communicate the value proposition of our software solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all activities, leads, and interactions.
- Build and nurture relationships with leads through ongoing follow-ups, providing relevant information, and addressing questions or concerns.
- Foster a customer-centric team environment
- Practices open and transparent communications with customers, teams, peers, and management.
- Available for Customers - During Business Hours, After Hours, Weekends and Holidays.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- BS Education - a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of restaurant/grocery Tech Sales experience, preferably with Back of House software solutions.
- An excellent collaborator with a demonstrated ability to build long-term sales relationships with business, technology, and marketing executives in mid-market restaurant/grocery brands
- Experience managing and organizing pipeline
- An innovative individual passionate about educating and delivering unified commerce solutions to enterprise restaurant/grocery and retail customers to help achieve business objectives for both customers and the Company.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Ability to drive revenue and growth.
- Familiarity and proficiency with full lifecycle sales process management
- Understanding of solution-based consultative sales
- Experience selling in a SaaS-based environment
- Experience selling payments as part of a solution
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong planning and organization skills.
- Advanced knowledge of POS computing environments.
- Customer service orientation with a positive, problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interface with a variety of customer and internal positions
- Team management skills.
- Good driving record, valid driver’s license and insured. Must be able to travel to customer sites.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position requires spending a majority of time sitting or standing and talking and listening, with some walking, reaching and other minor physical activity.
- Lifting or moving objects will be primarily under 25 lbs.
- There are no special vision requirements.
- The work environment may contain up to moderate noise (normal retail conditions).
- The work environment will not contain any hazardous environmental conditions.
- No protective clothing or equipment will be necessary in the work environment. Non-slip shoes are recommended while in restaurants
- Travel – Up to 75%
