RMI is a retail management company that operates retail locations such as convenience stores (with and without fuel, depending on the specific location). This position is critical to our success, as the candidate will work to provide legendary customer service while selecting, hiring, training and developing a staff to execute RMI programs. This job creates a positive experience for our customers by providing them with prompt service, quality food and beverage products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable site environment. This position works closely with Area Managers and support staff to not only execute marketing programs, but continually look for ways to improve sales and margins, while managing expenses in order to provide our clients with continually improving results.
Purpose: To maximize the customer experience assisting the store manager in executing site operations during scheduled shifts. This job assists in leading others and delegates tasks so that we are able to consistently provide excellent customer service and deliver to the customer expectations. The assistant manager is responsible for assisting the store manager in executing all standards, programs, and deliverables for their assigned sites in order to maximize sales and gross profit dollars, while managing expenses. The assistant manager is responsible for accomplishing store manager duties when the store manager is absent from the site.
Responsibilities:

- Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the store and environment,
- Communicate information to the Store Manager so that the team can respond as necessary to deliver excellence in customer service and products,
- Assists in new employee training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encourage coaching as needed. Provides feedback to the Store Manager as appropriate,
- To inspire others by being a dynamic brand ambassador dedicated to driving and achieving results and communicating to the Store Manager changes in employee behavior, morale, and performance,
- Creates a positive environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching and feedback to employees to ensure operational excellence and improve employee performance,
- Provide quality food and merchandise products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Complete timely and accurately, any and all reports and administrative work as required,
- Ensure all cash and other methods of payments are accounted for, reconciled, and deposited (cash) as required,

- Deliver legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a ?customers come first? attitude and by ensuring all employees are doing the same,
- Developing positive & appropriate relationships with fellow employees by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns,
- Assist in the ordering and maintaining of appropriate inventory levels to ensure sales goals are met, while minimizing inventory levels and waste,
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, and ensuring all duties are delegated appropriately and completed accurately and efficiently,
Performance Indicators
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance,
- Customer Service indicators and reporting as available,
- Operations & Marketing Program Execution (Through metrics established & determined by management).
