Part-Time Retail Merchandising Specialist

Description

As a part-time merchandising representative, you will service retail stores within a 15-mile radius of your home, with varying hours each week, averaging 5-10 hours. Your workload may fluctuate depending on the time of year.

Compensation

• Hourly rate of \(15.00-\)16.31
• Mileage reimbursement of $0.45 per mile for travel to stores outside your home location
• Drive time compensation at $10.00 per hour or applicable minimum wage, whichever is higher

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned projects accurately and on time, including:
• Stocking and organizing products on the sales floor
• Auditing product placement
• Applying stickers or signage to products
• Conducting data collection
• Setting up displays
• Maintaining planograms
• Participating in product knowledge training
• Report completed projects through the RMS Web Portal or Mobile App, including answering project-specific questions and uploading required photos
• Prepare for in-store assignments by printing instructions and ensuring supplies are ready
• Make routine decisions regarding store-level issues and manage your work schedule to meet deadlines
• Build and maintain professional relationships with store personnel and RMS colleagues
  

Physical Requirements

• Continuously (more than 60% of the time):
• Lift up to 10 pounds
• Stand and walk for up to 4 hours
• Use hands and fingers repetitively
• Frequently (30% - 60% of the time):
• Lift up to 25 pounds
• Bend, kneel, and crouch
• Reach above and below shoulder level
• Occasionally (less than 30% of the time):
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Climb ladders and stairs
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic understanding of retail and merchandising operations
• Reliable transportation for commuting within a 15-mile radius
• Internet access with downloading and printing capabilities
• Regular access to a smart device with iOS or Android, including a data plan
• Effective communication skills in-person, by phone, and via email
• Strong organizational skills to plan and manage weekly projects
• Ability to follow step-by-step directions and adapt to change
• Proficient in using simple tools (screwdriver, box cutter, etc.)
