Position : Civil Construction Cost Engineer based in Clarksville, TN

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience (Bonus’, other Benefits provided)

Job Overview

Our Premier Civil General Contractor client is searching for a skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Civil Cost Engineer to join their growing team. In this critical role, you'll leverage your experience to estimate costs for excavating, utilities, storm drainage, and materials / equipment on heavy civil projects. The Cost Manager will ensure precision and competitiveness in commercial, industrial, and government bids. The Cost Estimating Manager will directly support the success of their projects, and you'll collaborate closely with contractors and project managers throughout the bid process.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for heavy civil projects, including earthworks, storm drainage, utilities, and site preparation.
• Utilize estimating software such as Heavy Bid, Agtek, Earthworks, or similar take-off tools.
• Conduct detailed project analysis, including site visits, to ensure accurate estimates.
• Collaborate with general contractors, project managers, and internal teams throughout the bid process.
• Organize and manage all bid documentation, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
• Assist with the preparation of project schedules and budgets to support competitive bidding.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address inquiries and updates during the estimating phase.
