The Senior Finance Manager will be the “Financial Steward” of the plants, leading the plant accounting function covering two crucial plants – Chalmette and Yonkers. This individual will provide financial expertise and independent challenge to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, reduce costs, and support product development activities.This is an ideal role for an ambitious and motivated finance professional who wishes to deepen their understanding of manufacturing, while contributing to a leading global business. As a strong believer in personal development, ASR has previously sponsored employees at this level to complete certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Anaplan (Business Planning software) and for top performers, MBAs.DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise and develop / train the operational finance team to be effective business partners with the plant leadership team.Ensure that the teams complete month-end close accurately and on a timely basis.Support ASR’s annual budget process, to include detailed evaluation of all budget plans, budget compilation, and final presentation.Create and deliver professional presentations to senior leadership.Drive continuous process improvement within Finance and across all ASR processes.Use critical thinking and analysis to drive and lead change across all aspects of ASR’s business – particularly in operations, but also supply chain, sales, marketing, and other functions as needed.Extract insights from data and effectively use images, charts, and conceptual frameworks to synthesize that data.Develop actionable recommendations.Collaborate with ASR colleagues across functions and regions in implementing solutions.WORK EXPERIENCES6 years’ total professional experience preferred; with 2 years’ experience at a reputable professional services firm working in an advisory service (e.g., Transactions, Restructuring, Valuation or Deal Advisory types of services or as Management Consultant).CPA or overseas Chartered Accountant.Experience supporting and analyzing performance of manufacturing & distribution operations is a plus.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSB.A. or B.S. required; strong academic record required; relevant coursework in Accounting, Corporate Finance, and the Sciences preferred.MBA or Advanced degrees preferred as well as a CPA (non-public accounting certification) or CMA.Data Sleuth - approaches problems with an unbiased, objective, and data-first approach.Effective Communication - communicating with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.Highly Analytical - ability to draw insights from large data sets.Continuous Improvement – Establishes methods and utilizes specialized techniques to monitor and improve performance of systems and processes.Problem-Solving – Anticipates, evaluates, diagnoses, and resolves problems in a systematic and fact-based manner.Grit, strong roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic and rebound from setbacks.Teamwork & Collaboration – Creates a climate that fosters commitment to a common vision and shared values that promote cooperation and working together through trust and support of others.#J-18808-Ljbffr
