The Maintenance Custodian acts as a facilities custodian servicing assets in both our warehouse and office spaces. They present themselves in a positive, friendly, and professional manner and ensures a safe, secure, and productive workplace environment. Primarily tasks include but are not limited to : cleaning and maintaining all restrooms and common areas, assisting with handling trash, cardboard, and pallets, and running floor scrubbers and sweepers. Additionally, assembly-, disassembly-, and / or repair-type of miscellaneous project work may occasionally be assigned and performed. DUTIES and ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Perform custodial maintenance cleaning, assembly, disassembly, repairs, and sanitizing duties, such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, polishing, scrubbing, etc.
Waste / trash management and disposal.
Palletization.
Frequent communication with team members and reporting to management.

COMPENSATION :

Starting Pay Rate : $17.00
Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM
Requirements :
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES :
Working knowledge of, and proven experience with custodial maintenance tasks, especially if in a warehouse and office workplace environment.
General inclination for, and wide-ranging ability and skill with facilities-related assembly, disassembly, and / or repair work.
Personal passion and drive to see tasks and projects through - from start to finish.
Ability to work quickly, flexibly, and accurately.
Ability to timely respond to on-call or emergency support services.
Detail-oriented and possessing basic time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and to take initiative in a time sensitive environment.
Ability to prioritize and organize workload, multi-task, adapt responsibly to change, and deliver under the pressure of delegated deadlines.
Natural team player and problem solver.
Experience with sit down forklifts.
When not doing maintenance responsibilities will be helping with day-to-day operations including loading and unloading trucks.
WORK EXPERIENCE and / or EDUCATION :
Previous custodial maintenance and janitorial experience, preferred.
At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Frequent walking and standing.
Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
Use of custodial maintenance equipment.
Proper lifting of up to 40 pounds.
Occasional climbing (using ladder).
Varying job pacing, depending on assigned task.
Varying noise levels.
Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
Other miscellaneous or specialty duties as assigned and needed.
