The Warehouse Auction Associate position is a vital part of our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be customer-facing, responsible in preparing for and facilitating with, our weekly Retail Rebel BUY THE PALLET auctions, acting as a primary point of contact for our customers. The Auction Floor Associate will be considered the positive, friendly, outgoing face and people-person of our weekly auctions.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Greeting and directing customers to and on the auction floor.
Assist customers in locating and purchasing available merchandise.
Address and answer customer questions as per auction policy and procedure.
Conduct and handle POS cashier transactions.
Build and organize skids.
Place skids on auction floor.
Load merchandise for customers.
Maintain clean and safe work area.
Support additional team efforts, when and where necessary.
BENEFITS :
1) week PTO in the first year of employment; and, (2) weeks of PTO thereafter.
After 30 days of full-time employment, you will be eligible for prospective medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage. If you elect to accept the coverage specifications, your coverage will begin the 1st of the next month following the 30 days of full-time employment worked.

COMPENSATION :
Job Type : Full Time
Pay : $15.75 - $18.27 per hour
Starting Pay Rate : Commensurate with experience
Work Schedule : Monday- Wednesday 7am-4pm, Thursday-Friday hours vary
Requirements :
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES :
Knowledge of and familiarity with basic cash handling, including make change for customers at check-out.
Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Customer service in a sales environment, preferred but not required.
Ability to understand and relay auction policy and procedure to customers.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to work at a relatively fast and / or steady pace, while meeting quality control and assurance guidelines.
Natural team-player that is enthusiastic, WE-oriented, sociable, and receives satisfaction from job well-done.
Ability to independently and effectively work in performance of assigned auction projects and tasks.
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Prolonged standing and / or sitting for duration of work shift.
Varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
Fast-paced environment; moderate noise level.
Occasional bending, stooping, and kneeling at checkout stations.
Potential use of merchandise equipment such as box cutters, bin containers, two-wheel dollies, and pallet jacks.
