As a Retail Associate, you will consistently provide best-in-class customer service to Hearts of Pine fans through proactive and reactive relationship-building strategies. You will be an expert in what it means to be a part of the Hearts of Pine team and part of the greater Maine community by sharing your knowledge about the team and our products - educating, informing, and inspiring. You will offer information to the customer on current merchandise assortment, events, and execute operational processes effectively and efficiently. This person will be an integral part of the overall Hearts of Pine Merchandising team, and will deliver best-in-class services and experiences for all local and visiting fans.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service while sharing Hearts of Pine knowledge
- Engage customers with product knowledge and recommendations
- Assist with daily store operations, including sales transactions and merchandising
- Work collaboratively with the team to create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience
- Work nights/weekends as necessary, especially on the dates of the club’s 18 home games
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications (Skills/Capabilities):
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for engaging with people
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to learn and articulate company history and product details
- Comfort using a point-of-sale system
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or a customer-facing role preferred
- A team player with a can-do attitude who’s willing to jump in and support as needed
- Passion for soccer and an understanding of soccer fan culture is preferred
- Passion for Maine and an understanding of its people is preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
