RETAL PA LLC is currently seeking a Temporary Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician to join our team. This role offers the potential to become a permanent position depending on individual performance and evolving operational requirements.
As a QC Lab Technician, you will be responsible for verifying product compliance with established quality standards. Key duties include conducting quality inspections, maintaining testing equipment, monitoring production processes, and using both mechanical and electrical measuring tools to assess quality. You’ll also be tasked with analyzing trends and recommending corrective actions as needed.
Work Schedule
This position is required to work the following schedule in our 24/7 production facility. Rotating 12-hour shifts, steady nights (7:00 pm to 7:00 AM). Your 2-2-3 schedule will consist of the following each 2-week period:
Week 1: Work Monday, Tuesday; off Wednesday, Thursday; work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Week 2: Off Monday and Tuesday; work Wednesday, Thursday; off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality inspections and verify product compliance with internal and customer specifications.
- Monitor production and analyze trends to identify and recommend corrective actions.
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical measurement tools.
- Adhere to established protocols and experimental procedures.
- Evaluate customer specifications and determine sampling criteria.
- Conduct and interpret quality assurance testing.
- Perform routine lab maintenance and upkeep.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, tests, and results.
- Sample and test materials at various stages of the production process.
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a QC/QA laboratory environment preferred.
- Familiarity with standard lab testing methods and equipment.
- Knowledge of quality systems such as ISO, GMP, or HACCP.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Strong analytical and basic math skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.
