Marketing Associate Copywriting Specialist

Rethreaded is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, creative, organized, and tech savvy Marketing Associate with a specialty in Copywriting. The Marketing Associate will be responsible for the development and implementation of all copywriting at Rethreaded which can include but not limited to blogs, emails, podcasts, ghost writing, press releases, media advisory, social media captions, and any other branding materials. Rethreaded is looking to move from a local to a regional presence over the next few years and is seeking an individual who can help grow our voice and create authentic, captivating written content. 

At Rethreaded, a survivor of human trafficking can choose one of the career paths offered at Rethreaded. This position will have a chance to truly see lives be changed by creating a copywriting career path for survivors of human trafficking and by helping Rethreaded grow and impact more women. Rethreaded needs a copywriting specialist with expertise and knowledge of all things writing and a strong marketing background, who deeply believes in and will help further carry out the mission of Rethreaded. 

Rethreaded is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and social enterprise based in Jacksonville, FL dedicated to restoring choice, eliminating vulnerabilities to exploitation, and breaking the cycle of generational trauma for survivors of human trafficking. Rethreaded designs, manufactures, and sells its own brand of high-quality consumer products as well as the products of like-minded companies.   

ABOUT YOU 

• You have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field or have 2 years in the field. 
• You have experience in a variety of copywriting settings including emails, ghostwriting, blogs, podcast, press release, media advisory, social media captions, overall branding materials, etc. 
• You can stay true to the brand tone of Rethreaded throughout a variety of different platforms.  
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• You thrive on making the voice of Rethreaded come alive in all written communication. 
• You can work autonomously but you enjoy working as a part of a team that spans all aspects of the business. 
• You can create marketing messages that move people to take action.  
• Having experience using photography, videography, and podcasting to advance the brand is a bonus.  
• You have a passion for seeing women empowered. 
• You are a quick learner and/or are willing to continue to learn new skills to outside of copywriting to help support the entire marketing department.  

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Represent the Rethreaded brand in all written communication.   
• Create copywriting and content creation that supports Rethreaded’s five marketing pillars.  
• Analyze data to evaluate the success of marketing campaigns and identify areas for improvement. 
• Additional duties as required.  
• Working with Marketing Manager to create copywriting best practices and document process to help create marketing training program.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS         

• Able to read, hand-write and type in English 
• Able to hear and understand, and clearly speak English in person and/or over the phone 
• Able to regularly lift up to 30 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs  
• Able to sit or stand for up to 6 hours at a time 
• Able to drive and has a driver’s license in good standing
