Retina Associates of Missouri is seeking full time Ophthalmic Technician. Responsibilities include:
Documentation of patient medical condition and health history in the electronic chart during the office visit
Perform various ophthalmic diagnostic testing such as visual acuity, intraocular pressure, visual field, (OCT) Optical Coherence Tomography, (FA)Fluorescein angiography
Triage patient phone calls to evaluate need for visits
Schedule appointments, assist patient checkout
Clean and maintain exam and treatment rooms
Monitor inventory supplies and restock as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Skills
Ensure quality and safety of all patients and imaging following established training protocols
Assist providers in performance of in office procedures
Perform diagnostic testing as directed by the physicians including OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography), fluorescein angiography, fundus photography, visual fields, etc...
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED; prefer health sciences associates’ or bachelors’ degree
Ability to communicate medical terminology and concepts
Previous clinical experience preferred
