We are an Ophthalmology Retina private practice with two locations (Glendale and Monterey Park, CA) seeking an experienced and dedicated Full-Time Medical Front Office Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in a medical front office setting and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
The front desk plays a very important role within the practice as it is the "hub" of the practice ensuring safety, efficiency, positive communication, patient coordination, scheduling, and office flow.
Key Responsibilities:
-Enter and update patient registration information and scan documents
-Answer and triage calls, taking detailed messages
-Manage patient scheduling, confirm and adjust appointments as needed.
-Request authorizations from insurance companies.
-Greet patients warmly, assist with paperwork, and triage them to clinical staff.
-Organize patient charts, file documents, and maintain an orderly office.
-Respond to patient inquiries in a professional and articulate manner.
-Maintain cleanliness and a safe, welcoming environment in the front office.
Qualifications:
-Fast typer (everything is EMR)
-Conversational Cantonese preferred, but not required
-Experience with ophthalmology/insurance verification preferred but not required! We will teach you!
-Willing to learn from mistakes in a fast paced practice
-Flexible schedule as clinic days can change
Logistics:
-At least 1 year of experience in a medical front office role.
-Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a busy environment.
-Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
-A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn and grow.
-Ability to travel between office locations as needed.
