Medical Practice Manager – Ophthalmology Practice
Job summary: This person will manage a busy ophthalmology practice with 3 locations in the Baltimore metropolitan area. We are looking for a dedicated individual who can lead our 32 employees to continue to deliver outstanding care to our patients. Minimum qualifications:
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong human resources experience
- Very good multi-tasking and problem-solving capabilities
- 5-years of medical management experience
- Bachelors degree
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, compliance platform, HRIS system, and accounting system
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with physician partners to manage all aspects of our medical practice
- Supervise and coach employees with educational training programs
- Oversee office managers in two satellite offices
- Perform HR duties and utilize the HRIS system to manage and maintain employee records effectively
- Oversee the 401(k) platform, ensuring compliance and effective management of employee retirement benefits
- Supervise the billing department, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency in all billing processes and procedures
- Work with bookkeeper to prepare financial reports using accounting software
- Collaborate with various members of RCA for projects related to month-end close, annual budgeting process, developing and analyzing KPIs, etc.
- Assist with strategic planning and project management
- Provide project leadership from start to finish, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule while developing and managing the team to achieve quality and project goals
- Assure compliance with Federal and State regulations while administering and monitoring a robust compliance platform
- Manage the reporting of MIPS requirements to ensure compliance and enhance quality of care
- Create an environment conducive to delivering high quality, personalized care to our patients
