About the role:
The Business Development Account Executive is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and partnering with community organizations, networking groups, and associations to promote Medicare and ACA sales growth. Success will be measured based upon total membership and revenue growth, with a combination of a base salary and bonus incentives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network and develop relationships with community groups, networking organizations, employer groups, and various associations to promote RetireMed’s ability to support their employees, retirees, and partners for Medicare and ACA plan options.
- Generate leads through proactive outreach calls, email and networking events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential referral partners
- Provide excellent service and be the face of RetireMed in the local community
- Assist in creating marketing strategies to develop new business opportunities for internal benefit advisors
- Identify new markets and territories for new business opportunities
- Explore and negotiate strategic partnerships and collaborations
Qualifications:
• Brokerage knowledge and experience connecting with key decision makers
• Group Health Insurance and ICHRA background
• Self-directed B2C negotiator, road warrior and sales mindset
• Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with CRM practices
Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in business development or sales.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
- Proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
- Prior carrier broker experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic
- Ability to travel up to 75% in defined territory
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
