About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated Community Sales Advisor to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional who thrives on flexibility and enjoys meeting leads face-to-face in public areas to provide Insurance guidance. The advisor must be comfortable with frequent travel, including overnight stays in other cities, and working late nights or weekends as needed. You will be responsible for selling Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Prescription Drug Plans and approved Ancillary products to prospective beneficiaries. You will drive business by identifying, contacting, and educating potential customers about their insurance options, while building and maintaining long-term relationships. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, an in-depth understanding of Medicare products, and the ability to work independently in a competitive field environment.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance and Documentation
- Follow all CMS, and RetireMed compliance rules, procedures, and security measures.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of enrollment documentation.
- Maintain meticulous CRM records, capturing all critical client data and interactions in a detailed and timely manner.
Team and Administrative Support
- Independently responsible for driving personal performance with support from internal resources.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current on Product knowledge, licensing, certifications, and carrier updates.
- Support the "One Team, One Goal" vision by contributing to team initiatives and promoting a culture of accountability.
- Prior carrier broker experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic
- Ability to travel ~50% plus in defined territory- this is primarily a field-based role

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Health Administration, Human Services, or related field.
- Experience in outside sales with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets or Proven sales experience, ideally in the insurance or Medicare industry is highly desirable.

Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate company resources, including lead management and phone system platforms.
- Obtain and maintain State Health Insurance licensure.
