Overview:
We are a fast-growing internet seller of HVAC parts seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Distribution & Production Assistant. This role involves light assembly, inventory management, order fulfillment, and general warehouse support. No prior experience is necessary, but candidates must be comfortable working with small parts and tools, have strong attention to detail, and be able to perform manual tasks. We provide training for specific duties, including soldering.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment:
- Review daily orders and verify availability of items.
- Assemble, package, and box products for shipment.
- Ensure packaging meets UPS guidelines and that large orders are checked for accuracy by a second person.
- If products need to be assembled, complete the necessary work and package items for shipment.
- Place completed orders with invoices in the designated shipping area.
Inventory Management:
- Track inventory levels for SD and HD dampers, kits, motors, solenoids, and other components.
- Monitor stock of items like pumps, solenoids, and flex dampers; notify team when inventory is low.
- Assist with unloading deliveries, check goods for accuracy, and ensure proper storage of inventory.
Assembly & Production:
- Solder circuits for solenoids and pumps, test, and bag with appropriate paperwork.
- Assemble dampers, motors, and various HVAC kits, including flex dampers and solenoid circuits.
- Cut, seal, and assemble flex dampers and rectangular flex dampers.
- Perform basic soldering tasks and motor adjustments (RZ3, RZ135-7, 35139).
- Label and organize products for easy identification and shipment.
General Warehouse Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized production and warehouse area.
- Ensure that workstations and walkways are clear of debris.
- Lift lighter materials/boxes when needed.
- Assist with maintaining inventory levels by writing items needed on the whiteboard and communicating with the front office for restocking.
- Empty trash cans on Wednesdays and vacuum if necessary.
- Make copies of instructions as needed for order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.
- Must be comfortable working with small parts, hand tools, and light assembly tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Clean background and reliable transportation required.
