RETS Associates is recruiting for an Acquisition Analyst to be based in Newport Beach, CA . Our client is privately held real estate investment trust that is a leading commercial real estate owner, operator, and investment manager with $1.5 billion of AUM that totals 9 MSF.
The Acquisitions Analyst will be a key member of the Real Estate Acquisitions Team and will be responsible for underwriting and analyzing potential core, core-plus and value-add investments. This role will also assist in deal execution across industrial and office property types throughout the Western and Southeastern US. It reports to the Sr. Director of Acquisitions with regular interactions with the Operations and Finance team.
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in addition to at least 1-2 years of real estate experience, preferably with office and / or industrial real estate experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate development, or a related field or equivalent industry experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in related field (commercial property sales / brokerage, investment / acquisition analysis, preferred).
- Exceptional computer skills, including but not limited to, Excel, Argus, database environments and other property management software / applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills; must be comfortable speaking on the phone in a professional manner; ability to interact with brokers, investors, partners, and other critical stakeholders with varying levels of investment sophistication.
- Self-motivated with strong ability to manage; capable of working overtime or on weekends on occasion.
