RETS Associates , representing our esteemed client, is seeking a Director / AVP of Construction to lead significant asset repositioning, capital improvements related to base buildings, and tenant improvement projects across the Company’s commercial office real estate portfolio in Southern California. This role will also involve providing essential project coordination and oversight for acquisitions due diligence as well as managing additional projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Guide and provide leadership to property teams in identifying, prioritizing, scoping, estimating, contracting, and managing construction projects across the Southern California portfolio.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with general contractors and subcontractors, ensuring effective oversight during construction activities.
- Drive pre-construction activities including the prequalification of subcontractors, vendors, and consultants, alongside the preparation of contractor RFPs, bid documents, and managing competitive bid processes.
- Organize and lead meetings, prepare detailed agendas and minutes, develop and uphold master project schedules, and track project costs against budgets.
