Description
RETTEW Field Services is seeking a dedicated Construction Superintendent to direct and monitor the construction of utilities, civil, electrical, and other types of RETTEW construction work. This role ensures that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications, focusing on supervising and managing all onsite construction activities for RETTEW's EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) projects.
The Construction Superintendent will oversee subcontractors, material vendors, and all associated field activities to successfully complete construction projects on time and within budget. This position also assists the Construction Project Manager with planning, organizing, and coordinating RETTEW's EPC projects. Typical project types include Renewable Energy (Solar, Renewable Natural Gas, Battery Storage), Utilities (Natural Gas, Water), or Industrial (Utilities, Wastewater).

Responsibilities
Field Construction Management :
- Develop and maintain construction work schedules, coordinating with all subcontractors and material / equipment vendors.
- Interpret plans and specifications for subcontractors, addressing deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor work in progress to ensure adherence to procedures and material specifications.
- Inspect the workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards and approve installations.
- Maintain a daily log of construction and observation activities, comparing progress reports.
- Continuously document completed work for subcontractor payment application review and approval.
- Prepare sketches of construction installations that deviate from plans and report changes to the Construction Project Manager for incorporation into master plans.
- Conduct constructability design finalization reviews.
- Manage equipment vendor deliveries, storage, and periodic inspections.
- Enforce compliance with safety protocols, conduct daily safety meetings, and address any safety concerns.
