Description
RETTEW is seeking a seasoned Land Development Project Manager with a background in Civil Engineering Consulting to join our team in Mechanicsburg, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong land development design or project management foundation and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. Prior experience in land development engineering and / or design (engineering consulting) is necessary for this position.
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning and execution of projects of limited scale and complexity under the guidance or supervision of senior-level project managers ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The PM plays a critical role in managing client relationships and the planning, design, coordination, and implementation of assigned projects and project. Adhering to contract requirements, professional standards, best practices, and the company's core values. A PM may oversee the work of two or more members of a project team.
Responsibilities :
Program, Project, and Task Management (Engineering Consulting Related)
- Assist in planning and defining the project's objectives and scope.
- Assist in developing project's budget and schedule. Manage and adhere to the established budget and schedule.
- Monitor project progress and status and repot any issues to manager and / or Team Lead.
- Maintain project documentation and track project metrics.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Participate in selecting the project team. Coordinate with team members to ensure tasks are completed on time.
- Manage and coordinate the project team's workflow and resources.
- Participate in internal scheduling meetings with other PMs, Practices, and Teams to coordinate available resources to maximize efficiency, client service, and ensure quality work is completed and project deadlines are met.
- Resolve issues that arise during the project to keep it on track.
- Prepare and present project reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Handle meetings, work sessions, and public hearings.
- Assist clients in selecting contractors; coordinate their activities, as needed.
- Prepare and submit change orders and addenda to contracts for out-of-scope work. Seek assistance from senior and / or legal staff, as needed.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues.
- Complete the project billing process on time and accurately.
- Assume responsibility for the collection of amounts due
- Serve in a marketing role for the company with an emphasis on business development.
