Position Summary:
goTRG is looking for an experienced, energetic, and result-driven Transportation Support Specialist. The Transportation Support Specialist focuses on providing superior customer service and communication both internally and externally while working with various departments to route transportation-related services through the appropriate channels. The role's primary focus is service; the position plays a pivotal part in maintaining and developing relationships with the goTRG customer. Furthermore, the Transportation Support Specialist deals with product availability, appointment scheduling, shipping/receiving requirements, etc. This position aims to help align the transportation department in ways to meet set business objectives.

Position Summary:
goTRG is looking for an experienced, energetic, and result-driven Transportation Support Specialist. The Transportation Support Specialist focuses on providing superior customer service and communication both internally and externally while working with various departments to route transportation-related services through the appropriate channels. Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

- Respond timely to inquiries and maintains high customer satisfaction
- Spearhead sourcing and developing carriers to build carrier base
- Develop and optimize carrier relationships
- Maintain carrier and broker profile information
- Processe carrier shipments and follows up on daily operations
- Confirm shipment pickups, deliveries, and appointments, ensuring schedules are timely coordinated and met in accordance with client/customer requests
- Identify and correct scheduling and shipping errors
- Communicate with facilities on appointments and product availability for loading
- Help the coordination between customers and carrier dispatch on shipment information
- Play a role in booking freight and building shipment orders in the system
- Support the day-to-day shipment operations relating to the pickup, transit, and delivery of products
- Confirm rate and credit information prior to tendering and setting up carriers
- Link with sales and accounting departments to help resolve billing discrepancies and claims
- Support the transportation department in planning that promotes efficiency and savings
- Ensure team is current with tracking, checking calls, and updating daily loads
- Assist in organizing invoices in accordance with billing procedures with accuracy and consistency
- Support the negotiation of rates with customers and potential customers
- Help develop, maintain, and administer policies
- Assist in creating monthly carrier/broker performance scorecards
- Review and improve processes as they relate to transportation operations
Requirements:
- 2 years of related experience in a performance-managed environment
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Knowledge and understanding of Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), or other related systems
- Tech Savvy knowledge preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) with the ability to run report, update spreadsheets, etc.
- Degree or accreditation in Business, Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, Communications, or related field experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
