Job Description:The Certified CPD Technician specializing in Endoscope Reprocessing is responsible for the cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, and sterilizing of endoscopes and related equipment in compliance with infection control standards, manufacturer guidelines, and hospital policies. This role ensures that all endoscopic equipment is properly maintained, functional, and ready for use in diagnostic and surgical procedures.
Qualifications: Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Certified Central Processing Technician program is preferred.
Certificate:
- Mandatory Certification (at least 1 of the following CER)
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
- Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
- Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
- Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
- Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
- Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER)
