The Clinical Work Injury Specialist will serve as a patient advocate and utilize a collaborative approach in assessment, planning, care coordination, and evaluation of an injured individual’s overall health care needs and goals. In this position, you will maintain vital communication with everyone involved in a case which may include insurers, TPAs, employers, assigned case managers/care coordinators, health care providers, the injured worker and their families. In this role, you will:
- Use a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination and advocacy to ensure appropriate patient placement to meet an individual’s comprehensive health care needs and goals
- Act as a liaison between referral sources and inpatient rehabilitation operations team
- Work in collaboration with designated parties involved in the planning, implementation and evaluation of an injured workers medical and care coordination needs to ensure a seamless admission through discharge process
- Meet program growth and development goals as outlined
- Initiate new partnerships with prospective clients in the Workers' Compensation Industry by utilization of strategic business planning and industry/market analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Proactively attend and participate in professional industry related events as a community provider partner
- Travel local daily within a designated geographic assigned territory
Experience:
- Proven successful sales, marketing, or claims management experience in the Workers Compensation industry preferred
- Knowledge of workers compensation claims process and regulations in assigned state preferred
- Clinical foundation and knowledge of Inpatient Rehabilitation services preferred
- Licensed RN, OT, PT, ST and/or Case Management experience required
- Excellent verbal and communication skills required
- Proficient with computer applications; Microsoft Office Suite and Teams required
