Budtender

We are looking to employ a knowledgeable and experienced Budtender to assist customers in selecting suitable cannabis products. Traditional cannabis use experience encouraged. The responsibilities of the Budtender include greeting and welcoming customers, informing the manager of customer complaints and operational issues, and sharing firsthand experiences of cannabis products to address customer concerns. You should also be able to answer customers’ questions regarding the different strains of cannabis, their medicinal uses, and methods of consumption.

To be successful as a Budtender, you should keep abreast of the latest developments in cannabis laws to maintain legal compliance. Ultimately, and outstanding Budtender should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills by ensuring that customers are well-informed and satisfied with their purchases.
Budtender Responsibilities:

- Customer Service: Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner. Provide knowledgeable and personalized recommendations based on individual patient needs, preferences, and medical conditions.

- Product Knowledge: Stay current with product information, including strains, concentrates, edibles, and other cannabis products. Educate patients about dosage, consumption methods, and potential effects.

- Sales Transactions: Accurately process transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems, handle cash, and ensure all sales comply with state regulations and company policies. Follow the company sales process.

- Compliance: Adhere to all Mississippi state laws, company policies, and regulations related to the sale and handling of medical cannabis. Verify patient documentation and ensure proper record-keeping. Maintain store asset protection standards and abide by all company policies. Responsible for maintaining active work permit.

- Inventory Management: Assist in restocking and organizing product displays. Track and manage inventory levels to ensure availability and accuracy of products in the dispensary.

- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized environment, ensuring that all areas of the dispensary meet REV Cannabis's standards of appearance and hygiene. Perform all duties laid out for opening and closing the dispensary store.

- Team Collaboration: Work closely with store management and colleagues to create a positive and productive work environment. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and company events as required.

Budtender Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 21 or older in age
• Reliable Transportation
• No criminal record that would prevent you from obtaining a medical license to sell in the state of Mississippi (No disqualifying Felonies).
• Proven retail or customer service experience
• Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Must currently have or start the process of obtaining Mississippi Medical Cannabis Work permit (Affidavit & Fingerprints due upon first day of hire).
• If the applicant wishes to work in the Medical Cannabis Dispensary they must; obtain their work permit, take all metrc training, and dispensary training within 30 days of hire.

Salary: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
