- Providing service to applicants and prospective customers seeking a home loan, including interviewing, pre-qualification and pre-approval.
- Completing application and gathering supporting documentation.
- Reviewing and completing regulatory disclosures with borrower.
- Maintaining existing and generating new sources of referral business.
- Maintaining a presence in REV FCU branches and educating staff regarding Real Estate Lending
- Quoting interest rates and securing pricing through the Secondary Marketing Department.
- Inputting application data into Loan Origination Software (LOS).
- Utilizing automated underwriting systems (AUS) to obtain credit recommendations.
- Communicating with all parties, both internal and external, regarding the status of the loan and relaying information to all interested parties.
- Managing his/her pipeline of loans to verify accuracy of the current loan status.
- Acknowledging and abiding by REVs Policies and Procedures.
- Participating in REV sponsored events, and area association events.
- Actively participating in all aspects of the Real Estate Office sales meetings.
- Representing the Credit Union with active participation in approved community outreach functions for the purpose of enhancing our image and developing new business opportunities.
Education/Certification & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience originating Conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo loans
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of real estate lending criteria, compliance, federal/state regulations
- Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient with loan originator systems, Encompass Software experience is preferred
- Proficient with AUS (LP, DU, GUS)
- Prior builder experience strongly preferred
- Realtor relationships and book of business required
- First time home-buyer experience a plus
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Proven track record of building and maintaining strong, professional business relationships
- Satisfactory credit record, bondable
