Job Summary:
The Payroll Administrator is responsible for all payroll functions and related timekeeping activities. The Administrator ensures accuracy and efficiency of multi state and multi company payrolls, levels of customer service, data integrity, and calculating special payments (incentives and bonuses) consistent with local, state and federal wage and hour laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees and identifies issues with time collection system and payroll system and make corrections as needed.Performs routine audits of all HR data, ensuring accuracy and integrity in all data targeted for both internal and external sources. Interprets and implements company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
Assures payroll reporting requirements are followed by employees and proper company procedures are adhered to.
Perform audits to verify reported payroll hours. Reviews time sheets, work charts, and other information in order to detect and reconcile any payroll discrepancies.
Balance & transmit weekly and biweekly payrolls, process short term disability and bonus payments.
Audits all payroll changes including, tax updates, deductions, and garnishments.
Work with Human Resources in maintaining accurate records on employee absenteeism, personal time, sick time, and other approved leaves.
Meets compliance requirements with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
Assists Accounting with payroll requests and reports. Prepare, audit relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports.
Support all internal and external audits related to payroll.
Responds in a timely manner to employee and manager questions regarding payroll. Prepares management reports as requested, as well as timely preparation of other reports necessary to conduct business (e.g. unemployment claims, vacation, bonus calculations).
Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles, and department/ division transfers.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Excellent problem solving/judgment skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organization skills, recordkeeping abilities, and the abilities to effectively multi-task
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively handle a large volume of work
Team participation in designing and documenting world class payroll processes
Ability to manage workflow and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
Effective time management skills
Education and/or Experience:
Associate’s degree preferred
FPC or CPP designation preferred
Requires minimum of 5 years of payroll and benefits experience performing all payroll functions including the actual generation of a full payroll cycle and reporting.
