Leading, coaching, and motivating team members to meet the expectations of the business unit concerning: Safety, Team work, Quality, Production, Cost, and 5S using lean practices. They must also maintain tidy work areas and follow detailed instructions in order to meet safety and quality requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Meet and follow all safety and quality requirements
- Computer knowledge: Must be able to interpret and understand drawings, Bills of materials and other verbal and written instructions
- Identify and report errors when found on Prints and Bills of Materials
- Maintain Accountability for Safety, Quality, Production, Cost, and 5S
- Insure proper employee training and matrix tracking weekly
- Coach, develop, instruct, train, motivate, and hold employees accountable
- Be on floor at start-up, shut-downs, and breaks to lead team
- Work with other members of the assembly process to complete coaches within the allotted time frame.
- Ability to problem solve and use root cause analysis for continuous improvement
- And other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- College degree or 2-5 years supervisory/management experience
- Read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate in English
- Above average communication skills
- Capable of reading a tape measure and other measuring devices
- Attention to detail
- Ability to learn, utilize and promote Lean manufacturing techniques
- Willing to work any shift
- Good time management skills
- Cross functional and team leadership skill highly preferred
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Good hand eye coordination
