JOB SUMMARY: The Cleburne Railroaders are looking for a confident, energetic, and engaging Public Address Announcer to be the in-game voice of the ballpark during home games. This individual will serve as the verbal link between game officials, fans, and game-day operations, helping deliver a professional and entertaining ballpark experience for all in attendance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Serve as the official in-game voice of the Cleburne Railroaders at all home games.
Attend pre-game meetings to review scripts, promotional schedules, and coordinate with the scoreboard operator, production staff, and entertainment team.
Deliver player introductions, sponsor reads, promotional spots, in-game announcements, and other scripted or unscripted content in a clear, enthusiastic, and engaging manner.
Announce real-time updates including lineup changes, substitutions, in-game results, and fan interaction moments.
Adapt tone and energy to fit the moment—whether it's a walk-off win, a themed night, or an important in-game promotion.
All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong verbal communication skills with a clear and confident speaking voice.
Prior PA or live announcing experience preferred.
Self-motivated and able to adapt quickly in a live game environment.
Knowledge and understanding of baseball rules, terminology, and timing is strongly preferred.
Comfortable speaking in front of large crowds and performing under pressure.
Must be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
