Job Summary: The Kane County Cougars are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our Seasonal Facilities/Cleaning Staff. This team plays a critical role in ensuring the stadium and surrounding areas are clean, safe, and ready for guests, staff, and players. This is a hands-on position requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong sense of teamwork.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Hose down seating areas in the stadium bowl.
- Wash windows and glass surfaces throughout the facility.
- Sweep, mop, and clean floors across all designated areas.
- Clean and restock bathrooms before, during, and after events.
- Vacuum carpets and maintain cleanliness in suites and offices.
- Remove trash and recycling from all receptacles and designated areas.
- Clean and sanitize inflatable attractions in fan zones.
- Perform minor painting and touch-ups as needed.
- Assist with the setup, cleaning, and maintenance of outfield pads.
- All other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum one year of experience working in a customer service oriented environment required.
- Prior experience working in professional sports highly preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and written.
- Ability to multitask while being attentive to detail and possessing strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to lift, pull, push and/or carry 50 pounds as necessary.
- Initiative and has a hardworking, positive attitude.
- Ability to stand, sit and walk for up to 6-8 hours.
- Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions to include extreme heat cold and rain.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays.
