Flight Physician (MD) - Per Diem

Role Description

This is a per-diem role for a Flight Physician based in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area. The Flight Physician will be responsible for providing medical care and assistance to ill or injured patients during air transport missions.

Qualifications

• Current board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, or related field
• Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or aeromedical transport
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills
• Ability to make quick and accurate medical decisions in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
• Experience in international medicine or travel medicine is a plus

Schedule Requirements

• We are asking for a couple of (24)-Hour on-call shifts a month. On your on-call day you are at home, and if a physician is needed for a transport, you will be given a (2) hour call notice.
• While on-call the physician will need to be within an hour from the base.
• Following a mission, the physician will be given a minimum of 10-hours rest before being able to be dispatched for an additional mission (if the MD is on-call for multiple days).
