We are focused on providing our diverse clients with innovative solutions including technical analysis and development. We are looking to bring on an integral team member to provide support for an existing project. You will function as an IT PMO Business Analyst of a major system for a federal agency.
Role Description
The US Department of Housing and Urban Development - Office of the Chief Information Officer supports critical system infrastructure and functionality to provide customer support and mission execution. Our team needs an all star hands-on AWS engineer ready to work together to provide full life cycle system/software engineering.
Responsibilities
Provide full life cycle AWS software engineering to include requirements derivation, requirements analysis, hardware knowledge, metrics creation and analysis, systems architecture, and experience with integration and test environments. Manage and maintain configuration and operation of computer systems and servers. Ensure uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers, servers, and/or systems and ensure they meet user requirements and align with agency IT policies and best practices. Create and manage routine automation. Maintain security policies and lead monthly and out of cycle patching efforts. General troubleshooting of AWS systems and assets. Train and offer technical guidance and support for projects. Automate system and /or application configurations
Required Skills
- Ensure system compliance with Agency existing and new initiatives as they occur.
- Support efforts to bridge gaps between business needs and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business owners, developers, and other subject matter experts, to ensure the successful delivery of the project and potentially improve business processes.
- Develop frameworks and or support the creation of job aids and/or work instructions to support transfer of knowledge among team members.
- Coordinate, document meeting outputs and action items, and track ongoing activities or actions for the Integrated Product Team (IPT) and other work streams as requested.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelors with 3-5 years experience as supporting responsibilities across multiple AWS environments
- Technical and creative proficiency in developing frameworks and or support the creation of job aids and/or work instructions to support transfer of knowledge among team members.
- Experience leading or supporting Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Verification and Acceptance (V&A) in production, including planning, coordinating, and/or executing the testing of functionality that affects end-users and validate that the implemented solution meets business and User Story requirements needs
- Experience creating standard operating procedures and updating process documentation
- Proficient with all Microsoft Suite
- Ability to align detailed tasks with the big picture.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor your messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient to handle multi-tasking and ability to prioritize (teams) tasks independently based on Organizations priorities.
- Ability to manage various stakeholders (technical and non-technical) and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
- US Citizenship with eligibility for a public trust security clearance
- Note: this position is based out of Washington, DC. The role allows for telework/remote work. However, meetings may arise that require onsite attendance in Washington, DC. You may not live outside the contiguous United States.
