Job Description
We have a contract opportunity in Washington, DC for a Communication Coordinator who, as a member of the Global Marketing Department within the Publications Division, will assist with communication projects across mediums and formats to foster enduring community growth and engagement, as well as drive readership, authorship, and revenue for client Publications. Hybrid in Washington, DC. 40% in-person. Responsibilities :
- This individual will report to the Senior Communications Manager and provide broad assistance with content development and strategic implementation while managing the day-to-day operations of the division’s brand-level organic and paid social media presence.
- The Global Marketing Department is tasked with promoting this robust product line and facilitating a seamless and positive experience for the scientific community.
- Contribute to communications efforts for projects and announcements with planning, composition, and implementation
- Develop reactive and proactive messaging and draft materials, including news releases, blog posts, social media, talking points, and others as needed
- Manage and monitor Publications’ brand-level social media presence
- Manage requests, analytics, and billing for organic social posts and paid social advertising
- Provide support and guidance for other staff who manage social accounts for journals and other sub-brands of Publications
- Assist the Senior Communications Manager with other duties as required
