Job Description
The Project Manager in this hybrid contract role is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering medium-to-large sized projects of moderate-to-high complexity or overseeing a portfolio of smaller projects. This role ensures that project outcomes align with business objectives while meeting the agreed-upon scope, cost, schedule, and quality standards.
The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless execution through compliance with prescribed methodologies and best practices. This includes project charter development, project initiation, risk and issue management, and communication planning.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholdersDevelops and manages cross-functional IT projects, application implementation, and infrastructure initiativesWorks with business groups to create and manage project priorities and clearly communicate these priorities to technology partners.Ability to create and manage a two-year technology project road map with high level delivery milestones to manage stakeholder expectations.Works with technology partners to ensure projects are delivered on timeProactively manages changes in project scope, identifies issues, and devises contingency plansIdentifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project teamEnsures that work is carried out to a high standard and complies with the PMO guidelinesIdentifies and manages project dependencies and critical pathEstimates, plans, schedules, and tracks project timelines, milestones, financials and deliverables using appropriate toolsDevelops clear and concise documentation to identify processes, problems, and action plans as well as design attractive and simple sketches, charts, diagrams, and other illustrative material to facilitate communication of complicated topicsProvides frequent on-site monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones, and vendor accountabilityFacilitates collaboration across multiple functions, departments, and levels and serves as a role model for teamworkMaximizes availability of all IT equipment and infrastructure through continuous improvement and continuously looks to improve efficiencies and cost reductions accordinglyLiaises and negotiates with contractors and external suppliers to clearly communicate technical issues, and seeks economies of scaleImproves quality results by implementing unit, system and integration testing cyclesProactively identifies and communicates risks to project development and scheduleMonitors and drives resolution of issuesAdheres to Governance, PM methods, and tools / templates as appropriate.Ensuring that all cybersecurity measures comply with relevant regulations and industry standards. Preparing for and responding to audits. Cybersecurity background is a must haveBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fieldExtensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management and SDLC methodologies and toolsAgile process experience for application implementationBasic understanding of IT Enterprise technologies3 years of project management experience7 years of overall work experienceStrong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlinesStrong planning, organizational, and leadership skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clientsExtensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methodsIn-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and automated project planning tools requiredAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to build strong relationships with technology partnersExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsExperience with project cost management and resource capacity planningExperience with business process development and change managementAbility to work on large complex initiatives
Preferred Qualifications for Position
Experience in the utilities industryCloud-based, SaaS, and on premise application implementation and integration experiencePMP certificationAgile certification such as PSM (Professional Scrum Master) and Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) a plusITIL v3 or v4 a plus other members of a teamFamiliarity with the Energy Industry is a plus.Job ID : 1016792
