Our client, a nationally recognized technology integrator, is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join their team in Chicago, Illinois.
Position Overview
The Solutions Architect plays a dual role—supporting the sales process and helping drive business by designing effective audio visual systems. This individual will collaborate with internal sales teams, partners, and clients to assess requirements and recommend system designs that are scalable, efficient, and aligned with the project scope.
This is both a pre-sales and consultative selling role. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and commission plan based on project engagement and support of revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with sales, channel partners, and end users to design, estimate, and quote AV system solutions.
Provide guidance on technology options, based on client needs, space design, and use case scenarios.
Maintain accurate records related to proposals, forecasts, and activity tracking in CRM systems.
Ensure a seamless handoff to project management and technical teams for delivery execution.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in designing video conferencing, pro audio, digital signage, and integrated AV solutions.
Strong working knowledge of IP networking, DSP-based audio systems, control platforms, and video conferencing environments.
Hands-on experience with solutions from key industry providers such as Crestron, Biamp, Cisco, Harman Professional, Poly, and related platforms.
InfoComm CTS-D certification is highly preferred.
A minimum of five years designing professional AV or unified communications systems.
Three or more years in a client-facing sales or technical sales support role.
Proven ability to manage a book of business or drive sales through technical influence.
Must reside in the Chicago, IL area.
