Job Description
Job Title : Area Sales Manager
Travel Requirement : 80% or more
Job Overview : The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and providing innovative solutions for customer needs related to CNC machine tools. The Service Manager builds strong customer relationships, promotes company products, and ensures customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Sales Director, the role involves managing prospective accounts and maintaining current customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Promote and sell company products, offering technical sales support as needed.
- Collaborate with Applications Engineers to assess customer equipment needs.
- Develop and present proposals to meet customer requirements.
- Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers.
- Conduct regular visits to customer facilities, reviewing engineering and service issues and identifying new sales opportunities (minimum of 25 visits per week).
- Resolve complex engineering issues at customer sites.
- Submit weekly territory planning and management reports.
- Submit expense reports according to company policy.
- Participate in semiannual visits to OEM factories in Japan, Germany, Italy, and China.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans to meet annual sales goals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams for product demonstrations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Work Environment : Primarily in an office setting, with periodic exposure to manufacturing environments that may include noise, electricity, chemicals, and heavy machinery.
