Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our product development team. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing control systems for textile finishing equipment. The ideal candidate will contribute to new and existing machine development, troubleshooting, and performance enhancements.
Responsibilities :
Design and develop control systems, including hardware and software, for new and existing machines.
Create and customize electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts.
Develop and test PLC and HMI code prior to shipment.
Integrate VFDs and servo controllers for multi-axis motion control.
Lead proof-of-technology tests and analyze performance data.
Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and remote customer assistance.
Assist with machine installation, commissioning, and customer training as needed.
Ensure compliance with industry safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, CE, UL, NFPA).
Participate in R&D projects and collaborate with suppliers to optimize component selection.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
4 years of experience in industrial controls and automation.
Proficiency in PLC programming, particularly Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal.
Experience with VFD implementation and programming (Siemens, Yaskawa, etc.).
Knowledge of digital and analog instrumentation, PID control principles, and closed-loop processes.
Expertise in HMI development, industrial network architecture (Profinet, Profibus, Ethernet), and AutoCAD.
Strong troubleshooting skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Occasional travel required (typically less than 10%).
