IT Support Specialist
The Opportunity :
Join our client’s team as an IT Support Specialist at their new production site in North Carolina. In this role, you will serve as the primary contact for all IT-related needs, providing essential support for hardware, software, and network connectivity. Acting as the communication link between the production site and headquarters, you’ll ensure seamless IT operations and drive innovative solutions to keep systems running smoothly.

Your Day-to-Day :
Provide professional support for employees by handling 1st and 2nd level hardware and software issues, analyzing incoming requests, and keeping users informed with status updates.
Perform minor system administration tasks, such as creating / removing user IDs, managing basic computer operations, and implementing system security adjustments.
Monitor system performance, proactively respond to alerts, and resolve issues as needed.
Update and maintain the Service Desk knowledge base (Wiki) with accurate classifications and information.
Plan and implement IT applications in collaboration with local management and corporate IT.
Install and configure software and plugins on client servers and workstations.
Install, modify, and repair IT equipment, including label printers, hand scanners, and mobile devices.
Ensure smooth IT operations and resolve performance issues to enhance onsite efficiency.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
3 years of IT support experience within a multi-site, WAN-connected enterprise.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft products, including Windows OS 7 / 10 / 11, Active Directory, and Office 2016 / 365.
Hands-on experience with TCP / IP, LAN, and WIFI, including network diagnostics and troubleshooting tools.
Familiarity with smartphones and cellular devices.
Communicative and analytical approach, with a structured, independent work style and high adaptability.
Knowledge of ERP systems and German language skills are advantageous.
Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working near moving mechanical parts and in hot, cold, wet, or humid conditions.
